Who we are:

Itamos was started by a couple of travel fanatics who happened to know a thing or two about web technologies. The goal of the founding team is to promote traveling and exchanges between cultures, nations and people by providing a convivial and free home exchange service.

What makes us different from other exchange services is the following:

* Introduction of social networking in the sphere of home exchange: itamos is the first home exchange site allowing to invite your trusted friends and family members so you can exchange with friends-of-a-friend endorsed by people you trust and care for.

* Dedication to being the best home exchange service bar none: if you have ideas for improvements or suggestions, we will strive to incorporate them into our home exchange platform for the benefits of all members.

What's in a name:

Itamos was named after the latin verb itar , whih means "going places". Itamos, therefore can be loosely translated as "we are going to" or "let's go!" and perfectly reflects our ultimate ambition: making you see more of the world!
