Itamos was started by a couple of travel fanatics who happened to know a thing or two about web technologies. The goal of the founding team is to promote traveling and exchanges between cultures, nations and people by providing a convivial and free home exchange service.

What's in a name:

Itamos was named after the latin verb itar , whih means "going places". Itamos, therefore can be loosely translated as "we are going to" or "let's go!" and perfectly reflects our ultimate ambition: making you see more of the world!
